(A Science Fiction Poem)
Richard Rizzi

eternity melts in a cup
in a foreign refugee’s house made from ashes
the revelation happens when the cup falls from the talk

the nation appointed wants to slap me on the back
come on baby everywhere we go is a business deal
a scene of a devoted women on her knees
undoing a clock sewed into her belly
rhythmical rhymes in a blazing trail
warm water    squeezing winter from a rubber suit
routine speck slept on the faded overcoat
shattered softly in a quite voice
the dark is gone
knock the windows out and close the door
I pleaded and pleaded for gold wings
chopping the heavy corpse into pieces
to fill in the cracks on the stairs
